Can we open the presents yet?

We took a Christmas Eve trip to Ras al Khor, the flamingo sanctuary, and re-did a previous photo - we stopped here the year I was pregnant with Finley, and have a picture with just the 3 of us visible, so we thought a followup would be fun.  Love my little family:)
Christmas jammies - an expensive tradition here in Dubai, but I love it, and Will loves his jammies with the tiger on them.

Christmas morning - kids made it til 7, so we got a few hours of sleep!  Tyson's jumper was almost everyone's favorite present!

But a close second were elephant stools for all the kids - now Will has one he can actually ride!  Except it's too heavy to move.  Finley LOVES her baby stroller - it has to go upstairs at night when she goes to bed, and in the afternoon when she has a nap.  It even came with a little baby diaper bag, which is now stuffed with all kinds of random stuff.
Santa also brought a bubble machine - it is a hit with everyone, as was Daddy's hot chocolate in Christmas mugs on the balcony.

More cool animal stuff from Aunt Lisa - yes - he really is that excited.  It came with a map and stickers with tons of animals - he spent almost an hour filling in the map and all the spots for animals on their different continents.
Opening presents, stockings - the fun literally lasted all day.  Calista was telling me how much Finley loves to help her clean - and how much Calista loves having her help:)
When we saw this awesome book from Aunt Lisa, we knew Tyson wouldn't get to retain possession for long.  But when Will does share it with him, he quite enjoys it.
Not as much as Will loves his new animals though - a small stuffed leopard from Santa, and a big squishy elephant from Calista.
We invited a few friends from church over for a brunch - it was yummy, and the kids were happy to have a little playdate on Christmas with Julianna.
Our friend Joey and her husband Emil decorated these awesome gingerbread houses for the kids - they were delicious as well as adorable.
Will's awesome jungle "tree house".  Santa hid it behind all the rest of the presents, and even left him a note saying that he loves animals, just like Will does.  Will was pretty excited to have that in common with the man in red.
Skyping with grandparents is a fun way to end the day - nothing like actually being with family, but it was a great day.

Fun Christmas! I'm jealous of your dedicated blogging. I've been terrible ever since #3. Tyson is adorable! I was just thinking the other day, "Wait! I'm certain Meridee has had that baby!" Must do something crazy--like actually e-mail you--and catch up a bit. :)
