After Nate left for China, we made it through the rest of the school week pretty easily, and met Will's classmates at a park after school on Thursday for a playdate, then I went out to dinner for a friend's birthday. Saturday, we met a bunch of friends from church at the beach, and Sunday we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with some other friends. Then on Monday, we all woke up sick. We hunkered down the first day, then on the second day felt up to the park that morning.
But the park tuckered everyone out, and this is what we all looked like quite a bit each day.
We took one walk around the lakes across the street, and Finley stuck her hand in some fresh bird poop so that sent us home quickly since I hadn't brought even a tissue with me. Gross.
Daddy finally made it home on Friday, just as Will was ready to "leave me and go live with Daddy" on Thursday morning. When Nate got home, Will told him that he didn't want him to see the world alone, and that next time he wanted to come, and Mommy and Finley too. It was pretty sweet, but not as sweet as having Daddy home.

Can't believe how big they are getting! And Finley's hair is so thick and long! Such cute, cute kids!
so cute ... and what's a walk without some bird poop, right?? :) hehe ... and i love, love, LOVE that will said that to nate. really. kids are so honest. :) and at least he wants to take you and finley. lexie would just ask to leave me at home. :)
