This is only the beginning of changes for Will, but he has adjusted well. We didn't plan to move him from the crib before the baby came, she was going to start out in the pack&play, but the school hooked us up with a new big boy bed, so we decided to just make the transistion early. He didn't put up any fuss and was excited about it.
The first night, it took about an hour, and 4-5 trips back to bed. The final time, he was standing by the end of the bed crying, so I laid down by him again and after a song or two, he was okay to stay there. He has fallen out of bed once - of course it was the night we forgot to put down the pillows for protection from the hard tile floors though. And naptime is pretty sketchy - Calista can get him to go to sleep sometimes. But overall, the change has been pretty easy, and now there is room for all the animals and the child too!

Well, Hi. I'm playing catch up. Will is getting so big and I can't believe you are so close to almost ready to have this baby. Seems like just yesterday you were sitting on Mindy's mom's couch lying to us about the whole pregnancy. ;O)

personally, i think it's a good move to transition pre-baby, so he doesn't feel displaced by her later. do kids get that psychoanalytical? who knows? moms do though :0.
