Usually when I sell a car, I am excited for the next one, but when it was time to list our "lion car" as the kids call it, our whole family was a little reluctant. Maybe it's because this was our first real family car, and we have a lot of memories in it - Driving to San Diego for Will's first Thanksgiving, its long awaited arrival in Dubai and the freedom it gave us to get out of Al Barsha and "off campus" since we lived right across the street, or that memorable day when we actually kicked 2 year old Will out of the car and made him walk home (with mommy) because he wouldn't stop pestering baby Finley. We delayed the sale several months longer than we originally intended, and when a serious buyer wanted to take it after looking at it for about 3 minutes, we were relieved, but sad to let it go. I think one reason it was hard to say goodbye is that this car is one of the last big connections to home since we bought it there, and now that we are driving all "GCC" spec cars, we have severed one more tie. So, goodbye lion car. Thanks for the memories.
