It's a bit of a rocky shoreline as you enter the Dead Sea, and the salt and mud make the rocks pretty slippery. It's also a bit surreal to see the water always just completely calm and flat.
As we left the Dead Sea, and headed back to Amman to the airport, we passed hundreds of runners participating in the Dead Sea Marathon. It was funny to see all the different people participating - from school kids to moms in their head scarves pushing baby strollers, to the serious runners, to followers riding donkeys and even a camel. It was a perfect finish to our trip, and we made it out of the countries with only the stamps that let us back in to Dubai!
