We took Will swimming last week, and he had so much fun. He loves splashing, and totally had the whole swimming motion down.
Apparently, however, there were dire consequences...
There is nothing worse than having your baby wake up crying in the night, just scratching wherever his little hands can reach, and drawing blood in a couple of spots. But finally his skin doesn't look like a chemical spill and he feels much better. (p.s. the picture is way before it got to the urgent care situation...)
So with that taken care of, we were able to finish out the year with the kids today, and leave our last advice and wishes in their yearbooks, then joyfully wave them on their way when that last bell rang! Now its on to the rest of our lives...
We have put a lot of job applications out into the universe and are waiting to see what comes back our way. One of our options is with an international recruiting agency, and we are heading to a job fair back East in a couple of weeks. The trip will include a side trip to Philadelphia to see my friend Jami, about which I am very excited. So bring on summer, and job interviews (if anyone has a good "educational philosophy" answer that I can use, let me know), and hopefully new and exciting adventures for the Moffetts!

Hey Meridee,
I completely understand the Educational Philosophy dilemma. I had to whip out one of those last night. Not sure it was the greatest, just trying to get it done. Good luck with the job hunt. I also understand how hard that is right now.
It's hard when your kids are sick...extra, extra hard when you can't figure out WHY, so you can't fix it for them. Ugh. That said, looking at those swimming pictures, I'm not sure that Will would have chosen to forego that adventure to save himself the skin trouble.
Have a great time back East: good luck at the job fair and have fun with Jami--these are all "duh" wishes because (a) you're an awesome teacher...those are ALWAYS needed, (b) it's Jami, and (c) a break from "normal" life is always nice. The truer good luck wish is...good luck on the plane with Will.
i'm so sorry about the itchy skinned will. i feel so bad for him!! but i'm glad he's on the mend.
wish i could help you with the philosophy question but i can barely put a sentence together. lexie sucked out the last of my usable brain power. :) and yes, i'm SO glad your little excursion includes a trip to my house!! i can't wait!!
