Welcome to the world little man!

Once he got to the nursery, he was having a little trouble breathing, so they took him up to the NICU - with full term babies, breathing trouble can mean either an infection, or a little fluid in the lungs, which can happen with c-sections.  A chest x-ray and a few various tests have all come back normal, and he is doing really well now (Thursday afternoon), so he should get to come down to be with me tonight.

I have been going up to visit every few hours and trying to feed him - it's so hard to leave him there all sleepy and snuggly.

All the scratches on his face demonstrate why one of the first things to pack is baby nail clippers!  He had just a couple the first morning, then when I went back a couple of hours later, his whole face was all red and scratched, so we got busy trimming up his little daggers!

I had a plan for when the kids first got to meet Tyson - I had an outfit all picked out for Finley, and Nate had practiced combing her hair.  Then he ended up in the NICU, and that plan had to be scrapped.  So Nate picked them up after they spent the day with friends playing and swimming, and their clothes were all wet and instead of her cute outfit and combed hair, Finley was in her end of the day urchin look:)  

The important thing is that we got to bring Tyson out from the NICU and the kids loved him.  Will brought him a shark - trying to influence his interests early, and Finley didn't want to share him with anyone!

My recovery is going pretty well - and my doctor is going to get me something a little stronger than the extra strength tylenol they sent me home with after Finley was born!  We should be home tomorrow to start this new life where Nate and I are outnumbered - wish us luck...
