Milestones

Today I felt the first little ridges of baby tooth in Finley's mouth and in the last few days she has figured out how to get that one leg underneath her and start moving.  She is 8 months old today and loves her daddy - when we come home from school, and she sees him, she calls, "Dadadada" with a big smile on her face.  And she loves Will - he is hilarious to her.  It's so great to have them just be near each other playing happily - because playing together is way too big a stretch, unless her grabbing everything he is playing with counts.

 Will is getting really good at putting together his train tracks and cruising about 12 train cars around and around.  He gets a good chance to work on patience too as the track pieces don't always lay flat and cause derailings every round or two.  He is learning other things too - he woke us up at 6:30 this morning and said we had to get up "because the sun is here".  We really need to get some curtains in our bedrooms.  He also doesn't like it when we put Finley down for a nap when the sun is here.  Both kids love the bathtub - they could play in there for hours, and I love how Finley finds one toy to clutch to her chest the entire time while she uses her other hand to reach for other toys. 

 As we were all getting dressed for church today, Will asked to wear a tie - and who am I to deny such an adorable request (although he may later regret getting started so early with that fashion noose).  He only got 3 stains on it while he wore it today:-) 

Here's my beautiful 8 month old girl - 17.2 pounds, 25+a bit inches and no longer toothless and immobile.  You can't really tell, but her hair is growing in too - light brown, not red like we thought it might be.  Time's flying - and Will's latest thing is that we need to get another baby, a brown one...  Not sure where he comes up with stuff.
