He is loving climbing up and down the stairs and having so many different places to play. Tonight I took him out for our first swim in the pool. It is a bit more ghetto than I would like - missing tiles all over the pool, and cigarette buts on the side of the kiddie pool, but there were steps for Will to play on and he loved it!
One of the many things we love about this apartment is the laminate wood floors in the bedrooms - it's such a nice change from all the tile we are used to. And our kitchen is great - our dishes and pans have room to spread out a bit. You may not be able to tell, but that is a real live dishwasher there next to our double sink! Nate scored it off of the Dubai version of Craigslist for the equivalent of about $75. Awesome. Calista tried to tell us we didn't need it, she would keep washing all the dishes, but it's really nice to be able to load the dishwasher after dinner and not have piles of cockroach tempting dirty dishes stacked all over.
And one more fantastic thing - an actual laundry room that used to be a pointless half bath. It's a bit tight, but we don't have to do laundry in the kitchen anymore! The kids are asleep in their separate bedrooms, and our room was a bit messy, but so far, this place is mostly great (the parking garage is another story...) and we love it. We are not sad though to be getting on a plane in less than 48 hours and heading to America!! See you soon.
