Made it...

As this blog is partially my attempt at journaling, one of my goals is to write at least twice a month. One would think that with a two week break from school, posts would have been coming every other day. Alas, it's the last day of the month, break is over and I am scrambling to make sure our life is documented... Have fun matching the pictures with the events.

Nate's sister Pearl and her husband Jeff live in Missouri, and hadn't had the chance to meet Will yet, so our first adventure for break was to take a weekend trip out to visit. Rain fell, and we were able to experience one last bit of winter, but it was a lot of fun. Will Cooper loved his newest aunt and uncle, and the feeling was definitely mutual! They bought him his first hat - and as you will see in the pictures, it has already been well worn. (Most of Nate's family calls him Cooper, hence the full naming used here... One day we will get over our stubbornness and get on the same page, but until then...)

We returned home to beautiful weather, and have enjoyed our backyard and how the rainy winter here has left our grass looking spectacular. Will has a love hate relationship with it - he rolls around for awhile, then has to escape with a little Superman pose. Baseball was also on the agenda, and we saw the Chicago Cubs lose to the San Diego Padres in a spring training game. It didn't hold Will's attention like basketball games, but he was a pretty good sport - even in the sun, and getting sprayed with lots of sunscreen.
After one hungry night that included multiple feedings, Nate and Coop spent some bonding time while I slept in a little. Nate turned on his favorite Disney movie - Robin Hood, and Cooper was enthralled.
Grandma Webb sent a little Easter package, and it had a fun book, some little puppets, a cool tractor (which Nate thinks is awesome:)), and Will's favorite - wrapping and tissue paper, an envelope and a card. It entertained him for over an hour. And once that was all wripped to shreds, he found the toys!

To finish off the month, a little trip to the surgery center took place today - all went well, nothing major, and now its off to the races with crawling that has been peaking over the horizon. It's official - he's mobile. Stay tuned for live action film coming soon.
