As our summer in America draws to a close, I am reviewing our list of "must see, visit, eat, etc." With a chance meeting at Bed, Bath and Beyond this morning, I was able to check off one of the last "must see" friends, and the rest of the list will be in whatever order I can remember!
- eat American pizza - check times about 6:)
- Will - ride a horse - check (2 times, although we didn't get to go at Uncle Norm's house:(
- shop at our favorite stores - check (but I won't bore you with the details)
- play in Grandma Webb's backyard - check - lots and lots
- run through the sprinklers - see above - check
- play in the kiddie pool, conveniently set up at bottom of slide - see above - check times 3
- bike rides - check - lots:)
- Nate - golf- check times a few
- Nate - fishing - out on a boat with my dad and uncle Bracken - check
- Will - go fishing with Grandpa and daddy - caught two, threw them both back
- watch night blooming primroses with Grandpa - check
- My 20 year high school reunion - holy cow time flies, but check - My favorite comment was when someone asked if I lived in the "real" Dubai:)
- eating fresh raspberries, and jam - check
- That Famous Preston Night Rodeo - sweet over the chutes tickets, and got to sit next to Glenn Beck. Will only kicked him with his cowboy boots once.
- Rodeo parade x 3 + bonus visit with an old friend from when I was a kid - her grandparents lived next door, and it was awesome when they came to visit Grandma!
- dinners with family, lunch with mom and sis, lunch with brother - check, check, check
- quality hair time with my favorite hairdresser, Amanda - check, check
- cousin time for Will - check times a lot - bonus, cousin time with cookies in front of the tv:)
- celebrate Will's birthday on his actual birthday - and share toys with little sis:)
- dinner with friends - check, check
- swimming lessons for Will - check
- Will - play with Grandma's circus train - thank goodness she saved all those Fisher Price toys! - He looks forward to it all year.
- Ride on the rocking giraffe - Fin & Will - check
- Give the animals a bath at least every other day - it's usually best if it takes at least an hour. And sometimes it's fun to get in with them...
- Get lots of doggie time with all the family dogs - Minnie the Bassett puppy, Bella, Gus, Coco & Charlie.
- Learn to ride the little bike - Fin - check
- use lots of free guest passes for the gym/go to yoga with my mom - check times a lot
- go to the temple - check times 4
- Nate - Lasik - check:) - NO more glasses, and he got to go shopping for fun sunglasses
- Yellowstone/Tetons father son trip for Will and Daddy - check
- no big summer project - just time to relax and do above adventures
